About

is a Silicon Valley-based non-profit initiative to bring food equity to the growing homeless population in San Jose, Oakland, Richmond, and other cities.

It began when Japjot Sethi and Devinder Kumar got together, cooked a few meals in a small commercial kitchen, and went out in their cars to distribute them. In less than 3 years, this initiative has grown to over 400+ volunteers who assemble every Saturday, and distribute more than 300 hot meals.

In addition, as winter approaches, the non-profit also gathers and donates backpacks, blankets, hygiene kits, and other necessities to the at-risk population. We work closely with city agencies, police agencies, and civic bodies to ensure we are always aware of the changing needs of the at-risk population, and align our efforts to meet them.

Our growth has been possible solely due to the volunteers who dedicate their weekend hours to the effort, and our generous sponsors who help in many ways—cash, material, food supplies, and so on.
